View Full Version : RC Shoots his DW PM-9 1911

Yesterday, I went out to do some final AR tweaking with my new loads and I always bring an extra gun to shoot.
This time one of my favorite 1911's the Dan Wesson Pointman-9, I think Mason and I both have one of these GREAT handguns.
I used mixed brass, 4gr. of Red Dot shotgun powder behind a 125 gr. LCN Buddy sells these on his BSL Bulletworks web site.

My 40 lb steel turkey is about the center of mass on a man and at 50 yards an is a challenge for this old coot to shoot, standing one and two hand hold. I missed four times, toward the end I just ran out of concentration gas. At this distance if you think pull the trigger you will miss, it's strictly hold the sight picture and keep trigger pressure until it fires. This guns sear breaks like snapping a glass rod.

The PM-9 is at the top of this photo with its cousin the DW CBOB .45acp below.
